Fund strategy

This opportunity is for ‘wholesale investors’ to express interest in a feeder fund that invests into a current flagship distressed product focused on a credit and real asset-oriented special situations strategy in Europe, from one of the most recognised and respected names in the space. This is an exciting product and a timely strategy. This strategy was created out of the Global Financial Crisis and its opportunistic approach is suited to uncertain times.

The expected target size of the underlying fund will be US$4.5 billion. The underlying fund manager will seek to acquire non-performing, non-core and capital inefficient whole loans, real assets and other asset-backed credit and credit like instruments, as well as associated operating platforms arising from the deleveraging and distress in the European financial system. The underlying fund manager seeks to target private equity-like returns while fundamentally taking credit like risk, with real assets underpinning most of their investments.

There is a long track record of this strategy by the fund manager for investors to consider.

The investment is an unregistered managed investment scheme structured as an unlisted Australian unit trust.

The feeder is targeting gross returns of 20% + (13 - 15% net of fees).
