The opportunity exists for qualifying wholesale investors to express interest to invest in the following two real estate investment opportunities.

(a) Class A non-voting redeemable preference shares (Class A Shares) issued by Meridian Capital Limited (Company) carrying a fixed dividend rate; and

(b) Unitised limited partner interests (LP Units) issued by the Meridian Capital Investment Limited Partnership (LP). 

Meridian Capital is a wholesale finance company that offers qualified investors a consistent financial return protected by property and cash security. Meridian's focus is on projects that support the wellbeing of New Zealanders and make a difference in our communities, while remaining profitable and averse to risk. Meridian's growth strategy is underpinned by an active management approach where the scale and diversity of the investment continues to expand as we grow our fund under strict compliance.

An investment in the LP gives investors the opportunity to earn returns from property investment in New Zealand. The LP intends to invest in and grow a portfolio of quality properties (principally residential properties) to achieve greater diversification and resilience of income with scale. These properties would be managed on a day-to-day basis by Meridian Projects or may be managed by an external property manager. The objective of any property investments by the LP would be to provide holders of LP Units with a stable income stream with the potential for capital growth. All investments would be in New Zealand.

Meridian Projects will consult with holders of LP Units before the LP undertakes any significant property investments. Meridian Projects will focus on identifying properties which meet strict investment criteria, including:

  • Whether any major capital expenditure is required for the property;
  • Macro-economic conditions and state of the local property market; and
  • The potential for capital growth in the value of the property.

Property investments by the LP may include acquisition of properties developed by Meridian Projects or a Meridian SPV.
