The law normally requires people who offer financial products to give information to investors before they invest. This information is designed to help investors make an informed decision.

If you are a wholesale investor under the definition of that term in clause 3 of Part 1 Schedule 1 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, the usual rules do not apply to offers of financial products made to you. As a result, you may not receive a complete and balanced set of information.

You will also have fewer other legal protections for these investments. Ask questions, read all documents carefully, and seek independent financial advice before committing yourself.

The space industry is experiencing rapid growth, with a pressing need for sustainable and efficient solutions to manage satellite missions. New Zealand company Zenno is at the forefront of superconducting technology for a range of space applications. The company is building the world's first electric vehicles for space out of New Zealand and can ensure missions are effectively managed, maximising economic returns and promoting responsible use of space.

Zenno’s pointing systems for all sizes of satellites are powered by solar panels, and can extend the life of satellites in space, eliminating the need for traditional rocket propulsion beyond initial orbit insertion. This technology addresses two major environmental issues in the satellite industry: the frequent need to launch rockets to replace falling satellites and the accumulation of space debris. The company anticipates other use-cases for its tech, including radiation shielding, in orbit servicing and lunar navigation.

The team is led by CEO and Co-founder Max Arshavsky (technology inventor)). CTO Malcolm Snowdon (ex-Rocketlab founding engineer), COO Dr Reuben Brown (PHD Business, managed NZ’s first satellite), CRO Erica Lloyd (20+ years tech executive) and CIO/Co-founder Sebastian Wieczorek (Software Engineer) round out the team. Zenno is Chaired by Dr Peter Crabtree (Founder and former leader of the NZ Space Agency).

The need for Zenno’s offering is underscored by the significant progress the Company has made. Zenno holds intellectual property for all applications of superconducting magnets in space, with patents granted in Europe, Asia and New Zealand and filings in the US. The technology has been tested and proven robust, with successful vacuum, thermal, power, and frictionless tests, and the Zenno superconductor has recently performed successful demonstrations in space, via a D-Orbit satellite carrier aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9. The Company also has a $10.5 million sales pipeline made up of major industry players such as Boeing, D-Orbit, Maxar, and Thales-Alenia Space.

Zenno is currently raising capital to further its mission. The lead investor, GD1, has conducted thorough due diligence and the team are confident in the opportunity Zenno presents. Funds raised will be used to advance the development and deployment of Zenno’s technology, ensuring it continues to lead in the sustainable management of satellite missions.
