The law normally requires people who offer financial products to give information to investors before they invest. This requires those offering financial products to have disclosed information that is important for investors to make an informed decision. The usual rules do not apply to this offer if you are a person who comes within Schedule 1, clause 3(2)(a)-(c) or 3(3)(a)-(b)(ii) (inclusive) of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. This includes where the amount invested upfront by the investor (plus any other investments the Investor has already made in the financial products) is $750,000 or more.
If you fall within Schedule 1, Clause 3 of the FMCA, as a result of this exclusion, you may not receive a complete and balanced set of information. You will also have fewer other legal protections for this investment. Investments of this kind are not suitable for retail investors. Ask questions, read all documents carefully, and seek independent financial advice before committing yourself.
Note: We urge you to carefully review the information Memorandum and additional attachments (if applicable) before lodging an application. In the event that there are any material changes to the Information Memorandum communications will be added to the attachments for review.
If you are considering acquiring units in this Limited Partnership, please contact Scott Levings on 027 342 8342 or scott@myfarm.co.nz to ensure you have accurate, up-to-date, information prior to bidding on these units.
This orchard provides the Investors an opportunity to provide development capital into a primary sector that has significant growth prospects locally, but will only ever be a niche player providing high quality fruit to discerning Asian customers.
New Zealand is a niche producer of high-quality sweet cherries for the main festive season in Asia –Chinese New Year. The Central Otago region and sector is renowned for its ability to consistently deliver fruit that is fresher, sweeter, firmer and of the highest quality as a luxury food item for this festive occasion and in other value-add formats to the broader Asian region. The short window of supply provides a scarcity factor helping ensure New Zealand cherries are viewed as an exclusive novelty product.
The Advanced Horticulture Limited team is tasked with developing, managing, marketing and exporting the fruit from the Orchard. The fruit are exported by Greenleaf Exports. Advanced Horticulture Limited has in place a skilled project manager to oversee the critical elements of the development.
We highly recommend prospective purchasers read and understand the Quarterly Reports and Financial Statements before committing to a purchase of Units. These documents can be found under the 'Documents' tab to the reader's left. This is also where you will find the Information Memorandums relating to the establishment of this Limited Partnership and the annual Financial Statements are made available to prospective purchasers.
