MyFarm KiwiFruit Fund Quarterly Auction
Managed Investment Scheme
Register InterestThe law normally requires people who offer financial products to give information to investors before they invest. This requires those offering financial products to have disclosed information that is important for investors to make an informed decision. The usual rules do not apply to this offer if you are a person who comes within Schedule1, clause 3(2)(a)-(c) or 3(3)(a)-(b)(ii) (inclusive) of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. This includes where the amount invested upfront by the investor (plus any other investments the Investor has already made in the financial products) is $750,000 or more. If you fall within Schedule 1, clause 3 of the FMCA as a result of this exclusion, you may not receive a complete and balanced set of information. You will also have fewer other legal protections for this investment. Investments of this kind are not suitable for retail investors. Ask questions, read all documents carefully, and seek independent financial advice before committing yourself.
Following a strong first year which delivered a total return of over 12%, the MyFarm KiwiFruit Fund invites wholesale investors to join the Fund. Investors have the option to invest through the KiwiFruit Fund’s current capital raise or via the upcoming Quarterly Unit Auction (4-6 November 2025).
Registrations of interest for the Auction close on Wednesday 29th October.
Kiwifruit is New Zealand’s fourth largest primary sector export (after dairy, meat and forestry products). SunGoldTM has been New Zealand's most productive and profitable kiwifruit variety. Investors in the Fund will share in the ownership of 17 orchards (159 hectares) located across the Bay of Plenty and Northland and planted almost exclusively (98%) in SunGoldTM kiwifruit. With a combined asset value of over $210 million, MyFarm KiwiFruit Fund is one of New Zealand's largest kiwifruit investment entities. By virtue of its size, one of the standout features is the Fund's eligibility to take a significant shareholding in Zespri – the world's biggest kiwifruit exporter. Only growers can invest in these shares, which have a track record of paying gross dividend yields in the range of 15-20% p.a.
The Fund is currently seeking to raise $35 million to fund its expansion and build on its performance to date, with the aim of increasing its holdings of Zespri shares and buying and/or developing additional orchard areas.
The scale of the Fund provides significant benefits for investor returns:
- Access to multiple revenue streams: lease income, profit share and crop proceeds from the Fund’s orchards, as well as dividends from Zespri shares. The Fund aims to own up to 6.7 million Zespri shares (approx 15% of its total asset value). As of 31st August 2025, the Fund already owns 3.64 million shares, making it one of Zespri's top 5 investment entities.
- Potential to provide more consistent returns. Geographic diversification means capital expenditure costs are spread across a bigger base – as are the risks from weather and other one-off events.
- Competitive cost structure, including financing and overheads.
- Potential to keep improving the quality of the portfolio by reinvesting in existing orchards or trading up (selling and buying orchards).
